I'm sure Bosc will be along soon enough to point out that even though 20 teams wanted him, only the Bruins were willing to pay so much for him. After all, no one would pick Boston as their preferred destination...

Don't be cranky because the cap-castrated Wings have won as many Cups as the Bruins have made the playoffs post-lockout.

Ah crap I was hoping he would sign with the Leafs then I could talk up how he was a top six guy we got for free. Now? He's just some draft bust that will never get his act together.

And on that note, in the crow eating sweepstakes you and I are tied one one...

Apparently we are going to have to deal with this Wing gloat until next season. Not that I can't blame Wings fans. Razz why oh why do you bring such misery upon us?

They found studs in the middle and late rounds of the draft. I applaud them for winning that way, it was the old way of paying 9 million for bench players that pissed me off. Good on them for building a team the right way, and setting it up to be an ongoing success...

Which is why I'd rather see the Bruins continue to develop young talent,
rather than overpay for a long term deal to another 30ish star

Funny, that...that's how they built their old Stanley Cup winners...they just had a lot more dough to spend on complementary players, and top goalies instead of finding different solutions. No matter how much they spent, they still built and maintained the core of the team through the draft...but oh well. An era gone, a Stanley Cup in the new one.
