How dare they put a tech guy in charge of something like this. Mad

All I can come up with is Hooters and wings so any imput would be GREATLY appreciated.

Funny enough I was looking that place over five minutes ago. Not sure the location is going to work though.

It's a definite maybe. Wink

Bowling and Lazer Tag are two things I've set up in the past for outings that might work for you. Both are fairly harmless*, fun and won't ostracize non-athletes.

* as long as you don't have any Walters in your group.

They can really bum out the mood.

Is there still a Laser Tag place in Vancouver? There was one just off Lonsdale in North Vancouver near where my mother-in-law lived but they were closed. I'd like to take my sons when they are around their cousins...

I'm now really tempted by dinner and a walking ghost tour.

Real shame a 20% budget increase would open me up to the Whirlpool jet. Lazer tag could work, paint ball? not with some of the people I work with they would just bail I know it.

Few people here have suggested Mini-putt, too many in fact so to do that now would seem like a wuss out.

I've used this place (in Richmond) twice. It's quite good: http://www.planetlazer.net/

Hounsy are you coming into Toronto for it? I once put together a party at the Academy of Spherical Arts - it's a great place for a party and they have beautiful pool tables.

Just an update, because of budget, location, and demographic considerations I will be taking the department out to an indoor go-cart track that a local friend who's opinion I trust gave the ok to as a great adult outing.

Will update all in mid-September as to how it worked out.

My only problem with that suggestion? It's an indoor track.

Well indoor/outdoor depending on weather. Given that I got one day rain or shine to do it had to go indoor.

Buy nothing but cases of beer, tubs and ice. Hold the shindig in a local public park (free). Have no food. Watch hilarity ensue. There'll be a couple of hookups, some guys running around calling everybody their best buddies. A fight or two and you might even get somebody with an arrest for public nudity / urination. What could be better? You know the best part? Betcha, nobody will ever ask you to set up the company party again....

It's often said RW you are the smartest wisest member of OTP and once again you only further prove it.

He's been on the wrong end of what he describes too many times, which is why he works for himself now and this only occurs in his backyard.
