Storylines: Briere in town after snubbing the Habs' ridiculous free agent offer for Philly's equally ridiculous offer. Also, he snubbed Jean Beliveau in the process. But, still, to some people... he'd be better than what we got.
No Gagne tonight (concussion), though, which is huge news. No Hatcher (knee), either, which is still significant believe it or not. Montreal, meanwhile, will try to keep on going on without megastars Garth Murray (ankle) and Francis Bouillon (questionable).
And, of course, the league's most hated team is in town, minus 3 players due to highly publicized suspensions.
Biron vs. Huet in goal. Biron always has had Montreal's number, which was amplified whenever Buffalo played Ryan Miller and Montreal seemed to either win or at least lose a very close game in OT or a shootout or something.

Another game on TSN - looking forward to seeing how Huet reacts to Price's back to back starts. My guess is it won't bother him much - both of these goalies seem to have ice running through their veins, although in Huet's case, I wonder if he cares as much. There were a few comments last year where he compared the SC to international tourneys.
Ryder definitely needs to be shooting more - it's almost like he's mentally left the team after not getting a long-term offer.
btw...
Deport Bertrand to St. Pierre et Miquelon.

The boys came out to play tonight! Excellent pressure.
Definitely find it weird how little it seems that Timmonen and Smith are playing early. They're the only 2 legit vets they have. Also kind of odd that you wouldn't split them up for this game to spread the competence out.

Le Canadien ont completement domine la premiere periode...err they are good team.
Now I know how Atlanta felt after the first in the last game. Anyone notice the segment on the awesomeness of Ribeiro? I'm watching the RDS broadcast because I'm afraid I might see Glenn Healy or Mad Mike on the other channel (Toronto Sports Network has more sideshow clowns than actual performers now).
