What makes you say that... THIS?
| Quote: |
| "Steve Bernier is a highly regarded young player who's enjoyed success early in his career," said Canucks GM Mike Gillis in a statement. "With his right-handed shot he will be a great addition to our top six forward group and an asset to our power play." |

By the way, Luvah, there's a reason I created an 'offseason moves' thread. _________________

move this thread if you can..Ill keep posting my BErnier thoughts here for now.
Seriously , at least they didnt have to trade a roster player like Bieksa or a D man as was rumoured.
and also at least they didnt trade for a old guy or bring in an old guy. Bernier can still be a keeper for now or the long run. Same age as Kesler , a product of the legendary 2003 Draft Class. |

Unfortunately that power was lost when the Empire reclaimed OTP v. 1.0. _________________

Yet another reclamation project; at least this time MG is stockpiling big, right-shooting forwards; this team really didn't have any to speak of - it seems that they're not only jetisonning the soft, skilled, left-shooting forwards with pricey contracts (Naslund, BMo) and replacing them with bigger, younger, right-shooting forwards (Bernier, Johnson)... It's a significant drop in skill to be sure, but a necessary one to complete the makeover.
I agree with CC that this is going to be a lean year, and a lot depends on whether they can convince Luongo to re-sign in the middle of a rebuild. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

Do people here know that the blues are responsible for 28% of all offer sheets more than any other club.
I hope gillis is taking notes if you are going to sign players to offer sheets most of the time the term should be one year to keep putting the matching
team up against it the following year. _________________ Oct 7 4:29pm Hockey - Pending 20.00 to win 330.00
