I was under the impression the full NHL schedule was to be released today, but don't see much mention of it so maybe I'm a bit ahead of schedule on this one.

Nonetheless, this is big news for me when it happens. I'll handpick 1 or 2 Habs games in a short period of time to go to and then plan a trip to Montreal around them. Smile

The only thing that I've heard about the new schedule is that the only 2 consecutive home games in Montreal bookend the All-Star break.

That can't possibly be correct. No home stands or road trips all year? So they fly to Edmonton, come back for a home game, then go to Calgary, then back to Montreal, then to Vancouver? Laughing

First year of the old pre-lockout scheduling. Wink

Evil or Very Mad

Considering those are all NE Division teams, I would say it leads to the opposite conclusion.

Unless the NW teams aren't coming to the NE rinks. Each team has 3 wild cards in the opposite conference that they have a home and home with this year. I assume for the Canadian teams, it's with each other. For Boston, it's likely one game vs. the Canucks either in Vancouver or in Boston.

So it's not "likely" to be either conclusion at this point. It's still 50-50 one way or the other.

Hmm, wonder if the league was banking on Jagr(and Straka too?) being on the Rags for this game...

The Rags might've been banking on Hossa. Wink

The Rags still have Rozsival and Prucha, but the Czech connection is dead for sure there.

Notice that the season is starting in October. Most teams don't start until well into the 2nd week of October.

October 28 my boys finally return. Of course, it's the night after they've played in the frozen abyss that is Edmonton (and then they return to Calgary two nights after Vancouver Question ), but given the way this league is run, I can hardly complain. Who knows, maybe there will be a Tuesday night Roxy stop after the game Cool

Would you rather them fly back and forth from Boston for each of those games?

Actually Boston opens the season in Colorado October 9. My schedule is free that Thursday and the 10th (Friday). Harmy, Av, what are the odds of getting tickets to opening night, or is that simply not possible unless I want to sacrifice the first born I will never have? Laughing
