Man, what's with the Latvia bashing on there? My sister went there on vacation once, and quite enjoyed herself. It's one of those countries that if you decide to go to, you get first class service for working class coin.

Where's the Latvia bashing, the LGW link? I didn't look at the LGW thread, and I seem to remember Skip not liking that place too much. I've never wandered in there.

It's in the comments section there at Kukla's.

I’m going to take a wild guess and say Hartigan signed the contract for big money and has never been to Riga. If he had, then the phrase “Not for all the gold in Fort Knox” comes to mind. If he isn’t on the first flight back, then you can be sure he’s knocking back the Black Balsam big-time. And with the way he plays sober, you won’t notice a difference anyway.

Latvia isn’t very big, but there have been some decent players coming from there. Don’t count on Hartigan being on Dynamo Riga’s top line.

Posted by AndrewFromAnnArbor from somewhere far away from Latvia, thankfully
