Sharing of Amerks may end

The Panthers and the Sabres have shared the Rochester team for a couple of years. Looks like Florida wants their own team. The Sabres don't have an agreement for next year with the Amerks. I hope we don't loose them. It's a good thing for the region to have our AHL affiliate to close.

The Sabres and Americans must have the longest-standing agreement in the NHL, I would think? They're the only one I can remember remaining constant from the late '80s, when I first started following hockey.

29 years. That's as long as I've been alive. I can't imagine either organization wanted it to end.

Are the Sabres going to impliment a similar policy to their scouting and just have their prospects watch video instead of playing?

Sorry Patty Razz

Maybe they'll play video games instead. Wink

It's all about money in the end. If Florida wants a full affiliate and Buffalo doesn't want to commit the resources for that, than Florida will get the best crack at Rochacha if they want it.

You're right! The Sabres will be unstoppable! Cut wide towards the corner every time and cut across the crease one-handed on the backhand, or fire a pass into the slot for a one-timer.

Their goalies will have a tough time with the one-timers off of a stolen puck from the the other team's end, though.
