First game of the year against Hitchcock's new and improved Blue Jackets.
Back from a groin injury, Kronwall smokes former Wing Fedorov at his own blue line. Fedorov takes a penalty later in the play and Lebda scores a PP goal with Cleary screening the hell out of Leclaire.
Kopecky with a nice open-ice hit on Hainsey after being a healthy scratch.
Columbus is far better at not getting caught running around in their own zone and moving the puck out, though Detroit has been doing a good job of stopping them in the neutral zone and getting to loose pucks in our own end.
Transition game is good again and Detroit is hitting the blue line with speed.

Lebda takes a penalty and it looked like Nash tried the between the legs at the side of the net again. Didn't work though
Drake goes off for a hook to give Columbus a 5-on-3. Keep your stick on the friggin ice, especially when its 5-on-3.

Missed the last 2 periods. We beat them 4-1 and killed em in shots. 36-16. I wonder how many times we've a) Doubled a team in shots or b) Outshot them by 20.
We gave em 4 PP's in the third but didn't allow a goal, instead scoring two third period goals of our own.
Zetterberg extends his points streak to 16 games with his 13th goal of the year!
