Yeesh, get a couple of deviled eggs in me and I'm ready to go. Habs 5 - Sens 4. Book it.

To beat the Sens, you need to score more than once. No doubt the Habs had their chances, but either Gerber made the saves or it was the confidence-challenged Ryder taking too much time to get the shot off.

If we had gone up 2-0 the game would've been over. Koivu hitting the post on that break where he got hauled down... a lucky bounce was the difference.

Great goaltending, though.

But the Habs have to get more scoring from guys like Ryder, Smolinski & one of the young kids (be it Kostitsyn, Grabovski, or Latendresse) to really get going. It's nice that Markov now has 5 goals and 14 points, but this team needs more finish from the wings beyond Kovalev and Higgins.

5 goals in the last 3 games (one on an EN) is just not going to get it done.

Right about now I'd trade every prospect in Hamilton for a top 3 forward who can find the back of an empty net when the puck is lying in the crease...

This is the part that is going to bug me about the Habs - consistency. Some nights they look like all-stars - other nights - all-courtnalls.

At least the effort has been consistent this year.

Actually, isn't the Courtnall analogy that sometimes he looked like an All-Star, sometimes like, well, the Habs yesterday? So in that respect, they're always a bunch of Courtnalls. Wink
