Hip , you're welcome... DAMMIT!!! AP sets the NFL record with 296 yds rushing and 3 TDS!!!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!!

Seattle... they have no run game ironically. Two years ago , anything short yardarge was money... Alexander pounds to the left ... this season , no Offensive line push , no battering ram in a FB and their RBs had zero burst and power to push a pile. Fortunately for Seattle the division is so bad , Seattle is still in position to win it.

Indy and NE was a little lower scoring than I expected but it was pretty good. I was hoping Indy would have everybody back.. Harrison was a big hit. Its clear sailing from this point on for NE.. who can beat them ? they beat Dallas , Indy and SD..the supposed other contenders. Adrian Peterson exposed SD defence again.

I've been a Lion fan for too long to be sucked in by some early season success. We were 6 - 2 in 1999 and then they promptly tanked the season and missed the playoffs. No long drafts of Lion Kool-aid for me yet. I am at best, cautiously optimistic, while waiting for the other shoe to drop.

It's still a really horrible team, less points scored then given up. And in the bottom 1/5 of the league in a lot of prime statistical categories. They will not be making the playoffs as their string of luck will good give out to the lousy fundamentals of their game soon enough.

Damn Foggy, You sound just like a Lions fan.... Laughing

Well the Lions certainly looked impressive against the Broncos... Rolling Eyes

Holy shit someone wave the white flag, reports are Cutler is out for the year with a hairline fracture. This season was a bust a couple weeks ago but now I say fuckin' TANK it and go for a top pick. No use playing out the string, this team is a bunch of gutless pansies, get rid of D.J. Williams, and revamp everything about this D, nothing short of that will get this team on track. We may even need a couple seasons of crap before crawling back to respectability.

I'm not calling for Shanny's head though...yet.

I do love this picture. The big fella, all 340 + pounds of him, rumbling 66 yards to paydirt.

LOL, Luvah, yeah that works for me Cool

Still, this trade can help you as well ... I'm playing the teams ahead of you in the standings, so Twisted Evil

I have Peterson and Addai in the other league, and my opponent had LT & Larry Johnson ... talk about a battle of heavy hitters Laughing

I also have Fitzy and Calvin Johnson, just like in this league.
Fitzy wasn't doing squat for me in this league, even though he's leading the league in yards. In the OTP league, yards don't get you shit

In other news, the NFL is supposedly looking into the artificial noise the Colts pump into their stadium. Been doing it for years, but this time the disc skipped and it was extremely obvious during the telecast.
If by some miracle the league actually finds them responsible, I wonder if we'll hear a reprise of Dungy's "It's a sad day for the NFL" speech.

yeah , Yahoo changed their default scoring ... its 1 pt = 10 yds rush/rec and 1 pt = 25 yd pass.. and it makes a difference in a good way. More players have equal value and its not so TD heavy.

The old days a TE with 1rec , a TD was worth the same or more than a RB who had 25 carries 120yds , 0 TDs. Now , 100yd recievers and rushers have bluechip value , as they should.

Its really helped balance out the scoring Esp for a big 14-16 team leagues. Im in two other competitive leagues that use the new scoring settings and everybody likes it. Its a definite vote for yes for next season for me.

-------------------------------

As for Fitz , I really like Zona's sched down the stretch. For FFL it has to be the best sched bar none.. they play the bottom 10 defences. Im hoping Fitz will get'er going for me.

We at OTP are still stuck in the 20/pt with the 40 yard kicker x pi Laughing
Not to mention that horrid -4 for fumbles lost

oddly enough, I lost even with Peterson, so I didn't help your cause any

My other team survived a MNF scare from Crazy Tomatos, who had Santonio Holmes and Baltimore's D.
I figured they're bound to be counter productive to each other Laughing
After Holmes 2nd TD, my 39 point lead had dwindled down, and I thought as horrible as the Raven's D is playing, a couple of sacks and she might pull this out Surprised

She also had Big Ben - on her bench, luckily for me Laughing

week 10 picks

Buff -2.5@mia - Buff is undderated , though Im not sure what their history is in Mia but the Fish are vulnerable and Buff is in the wildcard race.*edit Zach Thomas is out again ... Lynch to run wild. I lke this pick more and more...which means bet Mia if I were you! lol

den@ KC -2.5 - KC has a stellar home record vs Denver overall.. great rivalry and both teams are banged up and I give the home town edge to KC.

Det @Ari pick'um - Going with a home team off a bye, hungry for a win to make the playoffs. Detroit is not a great road team and might get caught on a down after two big wins.

Im looking at
phi @Wash -2.5 - Philly is a mess and Redskins are notoriously tough at home... a FG win is Joe Gibbs like.

jack +3.5 @ Tenn - Im not touching most likely but if Garrard gets in Ill be tempted. Ten to cover more than a FG is always tempting to go with the dog. This div rival between two Defensive juggernaughts with both in the wildcard hunt has FG win written all over it

Wow! I can't believe the Colts choked tonight that bad
Even after Manning throws 5 picks, they're in position to win
Vinatieri slices a chip shot 23 yarder to win Shocked
What is worse is that if the Colts weren't fucking around trying to draw the Chargers offside, they wouldn't have taken that false start penalty.
From the looks of the replay, Adam's FG try would have just squeaked in had it been 5 yards closer. Instead of screwing around, the Colts could have let the clock run down (once the refs decided to start it) to about 30 or 40 seconds
then called TO, and kicked it with no pressure.

On the previous drive, Colts have 2nd & 8 at the SD 40, and Manning tries not one, but two bombs...just plain fucking stupid, with no receivers other than Reggie Wayne; try to get the first down, or at least some yardage for a FG try.
Well OK, with Adam I guess they'd have to get the first down - a 50 yarder in the rain is not in Adam's capability these days.
Sad to see the games best money kicker decline into a chip shot specialist
One of the reason's Belichick chose not to match the Colts offer was Adam's decreasing range in games and practice. Looks like he made the right call, as upset as the fans were to see Vinatieri go - especially to the Colts.

In other news, Rams win their first game behind a solid effort from The Bulge and Steven Jackson not only runs for a TD, but throws one as well.
Yours truly is the only one who had the Rams in the office pool Cool
In a week of surprises, all my upset picks came through.
I'm also the only one to pick the Cardinals over Detroit, one of only 2 who took the Eagles over the Deadskins, and one of only 4 who picked the Broncos to take down the Larry-less Chiefs.
For the first time this season, the MNF game is irrelevant to our pool
My 10 correct picks has already guaranteed victory; closest to me is 7
For the record, I have Seattle Very Happy (along with all but 1 person)

No shit. With any running game at all they'd be 6-2. Now they may have a shot at the division, but they aren't going anywhere.

Unreal! The Broncos win in Arrowhead in November. That didn't even happen when the Broncos were actually good... Shocked

LOL, and I picked it!
No LJ, eventually no Huard ... rookie QB throwing into a very good Broncos secondary ....
Sorry Av, but the Broncos don't suck ... you've just been spoiled Laughing
Oh, did Cutler play?

Here's what's strange:

This season everyone wonders if the Chief's good defense can survive their mundane offense.... no one would have been saying that 2 seasons ago Laughing
It was totally the opposite

tough break for him and the Vikings at any rate
no worries from a fantasy perspective, I've got Chester on my bench
In the other league I put in a claim for Chester, but even if someone else gets him, I've still got Addai and Brandon Jacobs (who Crazy Tomatoes' husband inexplicably waived right after he got hurt in week 1 - I was all over that, even if it meant carrying him for a month on my bench.

in other non-fantsy news...Pac Man cops a plea

In addition to one year of probation, Jones must attend an anger management program, complete 200 hours of community service within a year and submit to random drug testing, according to the plea deal. Langford said Jones already is subject to drug testing under NFL rules.

anger management and community service for leaving someone paralyzed for life ... wonder what the community service will be?

Freeney out for the year , put on IR by INdy. Thats a major kick in their nards. Marvin Harrison may never be close to 100% this season , Indy is just having tough luck with injuries. Indy , enjoy your title as defending champs while it lasts.

WOW, that's a fatal blow if there ever was one, the only thing that could be worse to their postseason fates would be losing Peyton.

and it looked innocent too , he stumbled and left the game limping. They said is was a foot injury , I didnt think it was IR worthy. LJ has the same thing going in KC with mysterious foot injury but they havent put him on IR.. yet. At least Indy got an exp guy in Simoen Rice , all things considered , thats not a bad mid season pick up off waivers.

NFL reinstated Woody Harrelson aka Ricky Williams. Loved him in Cheers.
