Yes - I can clearly see how much the Habs suck tonight.

Can't say I didn't see this game coming after Tuesday's night winning stinker and with Buffalo's desperation level reaching fever pitch.

And their offense has gone back into hiding. I can't understand how a team with so much supposed offensive talent has so much difficulty scoring. Russ Courtnall-syndrome....

There isn't a lot of offensive talent. There's some potential, but it's not like we're bleeding talent. It's all pretty raw and unpolished.

If you want offensive talent, go watch San Jose vs. Colorado.

And give tons of credit to Buffalo. They've obviously been working their ass off to get the results. And Montreal is having a tough time getting to the center of the offensive zone.

I've been saying the season will have its share of ups and downs, but generally be exciting. But apart from that, with Koivu, Kovy, Ryder, Lats, Kosty, Pleks, Higgins.... that's quite a few players thats been talked about, and with the possible exception of Higgins, these guys are only on the team for their offense. Either these are offensive players, or they are players with moves but can't finish. And so far, it seems like the rookies are progressing towards being more like Russ Courtnall than Geoff Courtnall, and the veterans aren't able to pick up the slack.

.....if only Montreal's hyped offensive talent could follow through like Stastney, or a constent performer like Thornton. I wonder what a package centered around Huet/Ryder will fetch next year.

Nothing, neither of them will be playing on the Habs by then.

You think we'll trade them by the end of this year? I'm thinking we'll get more nearer the trade deadline - what, not sure, but I'm hoping a veteran shooter/trigger man.
