Yes, he is, and 45 000 votes in a popularity contest won't change that. Not even Scott Boras would use that meaningless number to defend his player.
Besides, what's your take on Markov getting more votes? _________________ John McCain is fit as a fiddle… Is 71 the new 30?” - Fox News' Rich Lowry

I love how in this certain world, where being one of the top all-star vote getters makes you not a bust on a gigantic contract, and one really nice goal by a checking center justifies trading the league MVP and the best player by far on your team. Must be a wonderful place. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Proof positive that Andrei is underrated no more. It's all about the rubels, baby. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Anything that doesn't mention that I masturbate over her memory is probably a good idea."

| I know all-star balloting is a joke but this seems too extreme - Gonchar is not on the ballot even though he's tied for league lead in scoring D and is a big-name star in the league. Must have been a mistake?!? Especially since Whitney who is having a brutal season is on there? And Boyle? When do they make the ballots? |

The easy thing to do would be to have all players on the ballot. But you know the NHL... _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

No Rory.
No Mike Weaver either, who'd definitely get some write-ins from me. _________________

The Gonchar exclusion is by far the most obvious oversight on the ballot.
I wouldn't say the other two deserved to not be on there, just in relation to Gonchar. Boyle just won't be an All-Star because of injuries this year, not because he isn't good enough. Hell, healthy, I think he is better than Gonchar. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Wayne Primeau scored a really nice goal last year, and you immediately said "and people say we lost that trade".
Unless you're talking about the best player on the Bruins. If you don't get that.... _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Now I get it. And I don't know that I was ever hanging my hat on Primeau as much as Sturm and Stuart. Show me what I said |

Looks like there are some Habs-centric vote-o-matics out there. Markov is understandable, but Huet starts to stretch it a bit... and you'll notice Koivu is doing well with a strong write-in campaign for Kovalev.
Still, a starting line of Crosby-Lecavalier-Alfredsson; Markov-Chara; and Huet in goal ain't the worst choice by a long shot. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater.
