This didn't get much press in Minny, but apparently during a TV timeout last night they put a picture/montage of Wes up on the jumbotron and then some words about "Thank You Wes" or something like that. I think it was in the third period.

Anyway, someone who was at the game just said that obviously the crowd gave it a standing-o - which you'd expect - and the Wild players all tapped their sticks on the ice - which you'd also expect....but that Willie Mitchell also stood there tapping his stick on the ice - which you'd expect because Willie was always a stand up guy, but is pretty darn cool of him to do, nonetheless.

Big resepct for Willie.

I saw that on the broadcast during the second intermission... I thought it was very well done. Didn't realize how much he owed his success to Lemaire.

yeah he got all busted up in his presser talking about Lemaire.

His line about "he took a slab of clay and molded it into a player that I can be proud of" was great, I thought.

Lemaire said he was very touched by his comments.

If you didn't he'd still just be a big lump of clay, so best for all involved.
