yup, thats right
Thomas for Boston, DiPietro for NYI
the new kid scored for Boston
As time was running out, one of the Islanders dropped his broken stick
and the puck promptly hit it and deflected up into his face _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

Sometimes your hyperbole reaches levels even I find ridiculous.
Not even the BRUINS believe the nonsense you're spewing...now if you were to say Timmy's the most underrated netminder in the league I'd agree. |

[razz]No way, he sucks, because he once let in 6 goals in some game last year that has no meaning. I'd take [list of minor leaguers in my team's system] over Thomas. It's too bad Bruin fans are such morons -- much more so above and beyond anyone else, with 100% conclusiveness -- to see it.[/razz]
You see how obnoxious it is? _________________

I take the point, Jyrki, but I'm entitled to suggest that Thomas is the best in the league. Posters on this site have run down every single goddamn defenseman we have. Fine; the Caps circa Mark Tinordi, Calle Johansson etc we ain't.
But when our goalie rolls out a .938 SVP behind such a mess of a D, it's time for some credit...
As for the Canucks, I see no problem in running the hell out of Linden and the so called "prospects" everyone is fawning over. I didn't complain when you all took potshots at Zhamnov. If you're gonna support a team, you have to be prepared for some static from rival fans. I've said nothing but good things about Ohlund and I've admitted I was totally wrong about Bieksa. Feel free to show me the annoying part (aside from the fact that I don't wave the Orca banner) and I'll back off... |

If you didn't seemingly post in EVERY SINGLE THREAD in the Canucks forum then I'd be one of your staunchest supporters. But what you do now is nothing more than trolling, you can't see past your own heavy biases to realize all you're doing is inciting and pissing people off.
It also would help your case if you actually posted with some regularity in the forums of other teams. But you don't.
You said after your last self-imposed exile you were going to be "razz-lite." Time to break that persona out again. |

And had I made an unfair comment about the Canucks I would agree. But I haven't, so your criticism is unwarranted. Show me a comment I've made in there that you can point to as so ridiculous it's only point could have been to piss people off. It's time to people to stop equating a post other than "GO CANUCKS GO" with "Razz is trying to piss us off"...
I do post in the Habs, Leafs, Flyers, and occasionally the Sabres' forums. My comments are rarely complimentary of those teams, yet none of their fans take anywhere near the offense that you say the Canuck fans are. Instead, they defend their team, and take the odd pot shot at my own. I would have thought that's whats a hockey forum was for... |

Razz, no one has EVER done this. EVER. Vancouver's fan-base -- both here and elsewhere -- is largely self-deprecating and has never refused to accept an opinion that suggests they're anything but the best. That's not what fanship actually is, believe it or not, and you making these assertions are hilariously ironic in terms of your own visions of the team you support and openness to other ideas.
When you troll in other forums, you're received similarly. It's just that there are fewer users on this site for those teams.
Stating something constructive -- an actual opinion based on something other than the fact that you dislike the team -- is fine. When you claim not to follow and/or care about the team but comment endlessly on EVERY TOPIC with very little of a constructive nature to add, your motives are going to be called into question, and rightly so. _________________

I follow the team but not nearly as much as others on the forum. I intended that to be a concession to their fandom, but whatever.
Lately I've been deriding Canuck prospects and Trevor Linden. I've offered legitimate reasons for it. Mr. Perfect actually made a decent attempt at hatcheting my argument up by comparing it to the state of my own team. I think there was intelligent debate to be had there, but because it's me making the argument, it gets dismissed by many as useless bile... |
