Yes. And according to Nonis yesterday on the radio, unless your team is up against the salary cap, you don't qualify for cap relief. Which applies to the Canucks since they are $2 million under the cap. You get penalized by not overspending. Nice CBA that was negotiated.

BXA's prognosis goes from REALLY bad to bad-but-not-nearly-that-bad to closer-to-that-bad-but-still-not-that-bad.

Luongo is still feeling the effects of a shot he took in the ribs from the Minnesota game. That's why he couldn't play in LA. Mad

Isbister also left the game in the first period - anyone know if he came back in the game or is he out, too?

Isbister stayed out. Cant remember what play he got hurt.

yeah I heard Luongo got hurt in Minny last week and missed tonights game. Lex Luther must be working for the Wild now , he must have conjured up a device that alters rubber into kryptonite... damn you Luther!!!

Dan Murphy had the funniest line of the night when updating why Luongo didnt start , with a strong tone of sarcasm " Vigneault said he played Sandford on a coaches hunch" , if you heard it , you know what Im talking about , posting it doesnt do it justice , it was funny.

Dave Nonis said this morning its a tendon problem for Morrison. It was popping out and it was ok for awhile but really worsened lately. So its not a 'Chris Pronger career threatner' and doesnt sound like a season ender but he is listed out indefinitely.

Word is Kesler and Ohlund will be in on sunday. Barring any set backs.

Aaaaargh about Edler:

Canucks.com wrote:
Alexander Edler left practice early in obvious discomfort from what was later confirmed, by Coach Alain Vigneault, as back spasms.

Notably absent from today's practice was forward Brad Isbister, who also appears to be suffering from back spasms that has recently kept the forward out of the line-up, team practice and super-skills competition.

Returning to the ice was blueliner Aaron Miller and forward Jeff Cowan. Both players suffered from nagging injuries that forced each out of the line up and practice.

FUCK!

It's a good thing this team "thrives on adversity." Evil or Very Mad

And we already know that Edler and Miller are playing through injuries.

So basically the Canucks' healthy defense corps right now consists of Krajicek (who was out not that long ago) and Weaver. I will assume Salo is injured in some capacity because, well, the odds and all.

I think you'll have to TM that tagline... As in, "This team Thrives on Adversity™"

Don't tell me that Mitchell is playing hurt, too?

Mitchell / Edler
Salo / Weaver
Krajicek/ Miller

And their next game is in San Jose... Thankfully, they've got Nathan MacIver waiting in the pressbox... Rolling Eyes Seriously, can't someone bankroll a getting a hyperbaric chamber or two installed on the team plane or something?

Oops, sorry, yes he is (theoretically) healthy.
