According to TSN, Emery pitched a fit at practice yesterday over lack of playing time and then bailed on practice today. Pretty funny about how the players compensated for having only one goalie at practice:

Goaltender Ray Emery was seen leaving the rink prior to practice Friday morning even though it was not an option skate for the team. All the team would say is that he was not feeling well so they told him to go home. Emery, who has started just two games in the last eight, vented some frustration with his lack of playing time Thursday, slamming his stick on the boards before hurling it into the stands. On the ice, Martin Gerber was in net at one end while someone hung a neck tie off the crossbar in the other net. - TSN

Ray Emery and Brian McGrattan got into a fight at the end of practice - it happened after a skating drill in which Emery accused McGrattan of bumping him. According to McGrattan, it's at least the third time they have fought on the ice. The scuffle didn't last that long as teammates broke it up.

I smell conspiracy. Sens management is trying to get McGratton to dummy him in practice so he can go on the LTIR and free up some cap space.

I think its time Ray Emery gets sent to the Minors. He needs to remember what its like to play in the NHL.
