Looks like we finally got a #1 goalie. He was outstanding last night and unbelievable two nights ago with some of the saves he made. Flyers are on a roll with 5 wins and 1 loss. Nine players in the + for +/- when some of our guys had the worst in the league last year.

Biron's numbers:

3. Martin Biron PHI 1.50 GAA
2. Martin Biron PHI .951 Save %
2. Martin Biron PHI 5 wins
1. Martin Biron PHI 2 shutouts

Flyers are off to a good start, Carolina should be a good test on Saturday.

The only worry for Biron is how he'll hold up playing 60 games this season. Conditioning has been his problem in the past, but I'm guessing the chance to start probably re-energized him and got his fat ass back in the gym during the offseason.

An underrated goalie, technique-wise.

Having Frank bounce back from last year would be a boon. I don't think he's nearly as bad as his stats said last year; he was playing on a brutal team after all. 46 and 52 games in the past 2 years means he's had a decent workload before. He was amazing in the Olympics.

Sw, what's the deal with Reggie Green Pads? He seems to have dropped off the face of the planet.

Thank God we got the win against the Canes. This team has to learn to play all 3 periods and not to take a break in any of them. The next time we do that we may not be that lucky. Good job by the defense. Forwards also have to stop letting the opposition walk right in on Marty. Luckily he is saving them but they have to have better coverage.

I guess this game shows we are the real deal. Sweet. It's nice to be 6-1 instead of 1-6.

On the season, we have 28 goals for and 12 against. I guess our defense is much improved.

Who the hell is Reggie Green Pads?

I don't think so if he has been shipped off to Wheeling and Brian Boucher is back in the fold.
