Supposedly the other Wirtz son was expected to take over the team and it was going to be business as usual for the Hawks. Rocky takes control, first the Pulford move and now this. This is fantastic.

At the very least, fans can always say about Rocky's era:
"Well, he's not as bad as his dad."
To have Chicago sports fans not get to see Toews & Kane on TV this winter would be a near tragedy.

I think Rocky realizes that this would be a great time to get those two on tv, people in the seats, and finally generate some buzz in the city. The Hawks haven't really had anything to generate a buzz since the early 90's, so now is a great time.

This could possibly be the begining of the revival of the Black Hawks. The news of this possible home TV deal could really be the start of smething fantastic for Chicago and the NHL as a whole.

As long as the Hawks haven't faded COMPLETELY into oblivion under Wirtz' reign

11 home game TV package to be announced for this season, starting with Nov. 11 vs. Detroit (traditionally the best attendance draw in Chicago). Lots of advertisers are apparently lining up as well.
