Former Canadien Sergio Momesso is hoping some good samaritan can help him retrieve the hockey memorabilia that was stolen from his Montreal-suburban Kirkland home on Saturday night.

Momesso is devastated that three of his NHL jerseys - No. 36 for the Canadiens, No. 27 for the Vancouver Canucks and No. 27 for the St. Louis Blues (which was signed by linemate Brett Hull) - were taken.

Also stolen was Momesso's 1986 diamond-encrusted Stanley Cup ring.

That sucks. Sad Although the entry makes it sound like he's more upset about losing the jerseys than the Cup ring.

I always forget Momesso has that restaurant in the West Island. I'll see if I can convince the Little Québécoise to go there and hang out with one of the loosest cannons the Canucks have ever had. Laughing

Sheeit, that sucks Sad

I completely forgot that Momesso played for the Habs early on. I saw the thread title and immediately thought he was one of Keenan's '94 boys.

Good sandwiches at that place. Very close to my house, so I'm thinking I'll start a vigilante group. Can anyone swing a sack of door knobs?

Well he was on the other side of that with Vancouver, but it's particularly ironic in this instance has he got suspended in a late 1994 regular season game against the Rangers for taking a full-on golf swing at a Ranger's kneecaps (Joey Kocur, I think) in the largest brawl of the season. Laughing Probably didn't endear himself too much to Keenan's boys, though he would get sent to the Rags a few years later.

Is Sergio normally around? And I'll assume they have good pasta too... they'd better have good pasta.
