Bowman was surprisingly candid in his interview with the Ceeb about what went down in TO. That likely means he has no desire to re-open talks, although he suggested 2M minus the GM's contract per season and total autonomy would pique his interest again.

Okay watched the video online on CBC and it looks to me like Bowman is as much putting it out there that he will take the job to fix it if he gets the job description he wants and will do it for Colangelo money minus JFJ salary...which I guess means he intends to keep him around.
If it was to happen.

I thought the money thing was based on last year, if he had taken it. Therefore, last year, with 3 weeks left before training camp, he wasn't going to all of a sudden switch GM's.
One thinks if he had a full summer, and no contractual obligations to JFJ, he'd get his guy available, whether it was JFJ or not.

I read that Peddie was the one who didn't want to hire Bowman because there was only 3 weeks left before camp and he didn't want to mess things up...
 Yeah, you don't want to throw the team in disarray by getting rid of JFJ and hiring a guy like Bowman
