Oil have lost 4 in a row. Flames have been picking it up lately carried by Iginla and Langkow. Go Flames Go!

Didn't Edmonton beat Phoenix last game?

Yeah, I was waiting for someone to say, so what? They beat an AHL team. Rollie had to make 39 saves in that game, so obviously they have a long ways to go to get to play really competitive.

Huselius on the PP makes it 1-0 less than 2 minutes in.

Nolan gets a penalty.

Sam Gagner scores for Edmonton to tie it at 1-1.

EDM weathered the storm early and was able to get the even up midway through the 1st with 18 yr old Gagner scoring his NHL 1st.

Shaping up to be the typical tight battle of alberta.

Old man Nolan took exception to Zach Zortinni and picked a fight... I didn't see it so I can't comment.

Nolan looked good. He was goading Stortini near the end of a shift and it was looking like Stortini was too pooped and thinking of declining. Suddenly they bear-hugged and it was on. Nolan's helmet was off and he gave up a little reach to Stortini, but got in more shots. Clear vet vs. rook fight. You could see Stortini was really tired. On the Flames bench Conroy and Iginla were grinning like kids on a sandlot the whole time. Everyone was into it.

Warrener on Torres was good, too. Pretty even and a couple good shots from both. Torres didn't complain. He saw it coming after the Moss hit.

Keenan told everyone to get pucks on net this game. Edmonton defense is pretty porous and provided a good workout. Will be interesting to see if we can pull the trigger 30+ times against the Sharks.
