Hasek is wondering how it went in. Well, when you just lie down when a guy walks out on a PP, and he walks across the crease, and you can't see where he is, what do you expect? It went under your damn arm. Hug the post and stick your stick out to poke check the thing, or butterfly and use your fucking legs and you would have stopped it, and if there was a rebound you wouldn't be swimming on your back blind. Man he drives me nuts... Evil or Very Mad

1-1 after the Wild's second PP resulting in a goal.

See Hasek? Butterfly!

I guess you can't argue much when is line is like 9 wins and 2 ties in 11 games with 0.97 and .957 or something ridiculous like that against the Wild Confused

Man Mickey Redmond does not like how they call the game now Laughing

"Come on boys, this is a hockey game!"

"A peewee slash was harder than that" - this one was where Zetterberg gave someone's stick a love tap and it busted, I think from a pass, not from a slash Laughing

Nice blocker stop by Hasek on the breakaway and then an even better stop on Gabby again on a rebound!

Line of the night by Ken Daniels while talking about upcoming 80's night at the Joe:
Ken: Name a country song from the 80's
Mick: Oh I don't know.
Ken: Come on, somebody's dog died in the 80's. Laughing

Friggin hell. Demitra buries a cannon of a slapper top glove on Hasek for a 2-1 Wild lead.

Wings gotta settle down. Too many odd-man rushes this period. Mad

Backstrom played a great game, but the Wild give up their first 3rd period lead of the season on a shot from the boards by Cleary as a bad angle through Backstrom's legs. Detroit gets the OT winner on a great play by down low by Cleary, to Zetterberg who feeds Ledba streaking down the opposite side.

I wasn't watching this one closely at all, but Backstrom had an excellent game, as did Hasek. Detroit was all over them in the third period.

Backstrom may have had an excellent game, but man... that Cleary goal can't happen.

Nope, Ken and Mick were saying that they wondered what the Wild fans were thinking the Wings could do to pull it out...well, that was it...

That was actually the first time Backstrom has ever lost a game starting the 3rd period with a lead. It was going to happen sometime, but you don't expect a goal like that to do it.

As a goalie, you pretty much need a perfect game to beat Detroit... one mistake and it's a loss.

Cleary's goal was definitely a softie but Backstrom did say later that although he saw it, the puck did deflect off one of his defenseman's skates. Hasek was unreal in the 3rd period and in OT. We flat stole that game.

Hasek only had 3 shots in the third and one in OT. Laughing He did make some excellent saves, particularly on Gaborik.

It was the saves he made. Two out of the four we're mind blowing spectacular. The one in OT on Gaborik reminded me of his Buffalo days. He practically undressed himself.
