this guy is what the NHL needs more of........he came to the defence of his teammate last night against the sharks only to be hog tied by old man Roenick sustaining an injury.

Holy hell! 172 PIM in 33 games! That's averaging just over 5 per game!

Over an 82 game season he's on pace for 427 minutes....which would leave him 45 shy of Dave Schultz's single season record.

edit: he'd also be on pace for a dozen goals to go with those PIMs. This guy is welcome on my team any time.

No-trade / no-movement clause drama aside, if the Leafs could land this guy, I'd be happy as a pig in shit!

The Coyotes picking up Daniel Carcillo & a 3rd round pick in exchange for Georges Laraque was the best move of the trade deadline last year in my professional opinion.

Most of those PIMs are 10 minute misconducts.

Dude, he's more fun to watch than any of Ponikarovsky, Antropov, etc., etc.

He just skates around looking mean, yells a lot & backs it up! Mad

Somebody so much as break-wind by Carcillo, he ends up w- a game misconduct!

Gretzky called that the best trade in the history of the organization. I can't think of any good ones that compete with it, but still pretty high praise for Danny boy!

Brygalov doesn't count as a trade, so this one has to be close.

How about this one?

Phoenix Coyotes traded Chris Gratton, Ossi Vaananen and a 2nd round selection (Paul Stastny) in 2005 to the Colorado Avalanche for Derek Morris and Keith Ballard.

The fact that Colorado drafted Stastny shouldn't really be considered in rating the deal.
