Another must win for the Nucks Rolling Eyes The good news is Ohlund will be back tonight,The bad news is Miller won't,I'm not sure if Bourdon stay's or goes in favor of Weaver but imo Bourdon should stay up for the rest of his career and I could care less what happens to Weaver.Anyway,.................GO CANUCKS GO!!!

Kessel lost his fight against Jackman, but gets full points for bravery.

1-1. good game so far.

Regulation win! 4-2

Blues really pulled out the stops in the last three minutes, but couldn't overcome.

Burrows was freaking amazing tonight,He almost singlehandedly won this game for Vancouver,The goal he scored was a beautiful little forehand backhand upstairs go to bed shot,But the work he did on the gamewinning goal was unbelievable right up until the beautiful backhand feed to Isbister Shocked Very Happy I'm not sure when his contract is up but if I were DN,I would get him under contract asap before someone steals him from under our noses.
Good first period, awful second period and a great third period. My goat of the night is definitely BXA with a ton of uncharacteristic giveaways,Markus Naslund was also invisible except when making bad passes and giveaways.Kesler and Izzy played great games but that leads us straight back to Burrows who carried the team.Good on him Cool

Sry, drank a few brews while watching the Leafs game. I did mean Kesler, and I though the kid did good as a non-fighter against a foe like Jackman!

Yeah,He's actually had a couple of decent fights,The one I really remember was against Iginla and that one seemed to go on forever ending in what I would call a split decision,He's got game but you're right in calling him a nonfighter Cool

Hey Tuzer,
Burrows played great that 3 man passing play on the GWG was awesome.
Just a week ago that play would've ended in Isbister missing the empty net.
BXA-Man I love the hitting & the offence but defencively he is a turnover waiting to happen."Uncharacteristic giveaways"is a misrepresentation. He is basically a less expensive Jovo like dman. What a dfference having him back in the lineup.

Naslund is slumping (as are the Sedins) but Naslund made some defencive plays in his own end that were just good backchecks. As long as the team is winning & Naslund is giving everything he's got defencively I am not going to complain. The Sedins chew up PP time with very little to show for it.As goal scorers go I expect to see Daniel Sedin on a milk carton any day now. Laughing

You're probably right there freaky,I guess I just overlook his defensive liabilities because I like the way he plays so much Cool

There were some anxious moments in the second when the Nucks were getting shut down with authority by the Blues - the Blues were fully deserving of their 2-1 lead; Burr was an one-man wrecking crew out there; some terrific forechecking and that line combined with the timely goals by the defence have been doing the all the damage these last couple of games. It's great to see the confidence in Burr's game to complement Kesler... Speaking of which, props to Kesler for standing in there with Jackman - he had a couple of early shots in but Jackman had him in the end. I could see a lot of the Blues' play being very similar to the Nucks; and after the Nashville game, you can see the difference a good shot-blocking system and defence makes; the Blues got in the way of a ton of Nucks' shots. They just didn't stick to their game, and again, a big part of that was the Nucks' speed on offence. Kesler, Burr, MayRay, Shannon... With BMo coming back, that adds even more speed although I hope they keep Shannon on - they can back off a lot of teams if they can keep a lot of speed in their lineup.

The Sedins and Naslund still couldn't buy a goal, but they DID continue to look dangerous. As long as they can keep the other team's best defence off of the real #1 line (Kesler-Burrows-Isbister), they should be alright... Wink

For most of the season Burrows has been great he just couldn't bury them. reminiscent of last year when it took him like 14 goals to get one that counted. I keep saying if he keeps it up it'll turn the corner for him and low and behold there he is putting up those secondary numbers we lack so badly. On the Twins sure they're snake bitten right now but hey they've combined for like six points in two games with Nazzy. I thought Pyatt looked really good with Kesler and Burrows (frick and Frack). I didn't get to watch past the first period last night (work at sis am with daylight savings too boot !@#$) but I thought we had good energy carried by the young speedsters and the Frick Frack line! Keep it up first round vs San Jose. Shocked
