Wasn't he expected to have an offensive game as well? Apparently he's turned into a very good shutdown dman, but we haven't seen much in the way of offensive numbers. I guess if they start to come now, it'll make this deal that much better.

More a good skater than a creative type. Really, this guy has been a top 4 d-man for 4 years already and is only 25. He was set to be the youngest UFA on the market. If Hartnell gets his kind of money for being a top 6 forward at that age, then what is Schultz worth?

Anyways, the Wild have a "Big 3" on D now locked away in Johnsson, Schultz, and Burns.

Yup, smart move to lock him up long before he could even think about how green the grass might be.

At 3.5M they have essentially their franchise defenceman locked up at a bargain basement price.
