Have we found that big power forward that we've been coveting?
He's got 9 goals and 4 assists in his past 9 games and the month of March, and has been playing fantastic hockey. He's been a beast on the PP since Holmer went down, and has been logging a ton of minutes. His 20:13 last night was the least minutes that he's played in the past 7 games, since Holmer went down.
This was the kind of play they I(and the team, I'm sure) were looking for from Franzen, and hopefully he can continue it going forward and into the playoffs. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

If he maintains consistency I'd say yes. But that comes with a big "if" _________________ "The greatest victory a man can win is victory over himself."

Well, I'm betting that once Holmer comes back, Franzen's production will dip. The tools that Franzen has over Holmstrom are actually things that will probably keep him from taking Holmer's time on the top line and on the top PP unit. Franzen's bigger, better at controlling the puck, better hands, and is a better checker and penalty killer them Holmer. Franzen's better suited for the shutdown/checking/penalty kiling center than Holmer is by a long shot, so he'll probably go down a line or two, and be out there on the 2nd PP...Not necessarily a bad problem to have, just that it's too bad for Franzen given how he's played lately and the numbers that he's putting up. Who knows though. Maybe Holmer will be relegated a line and end up on the 2nd PP unit... _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Franzen picked up his 11th goal in the past 11 games, 4th game winner. A rebound off of Legace's face on the PP. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

| I thought he was one of the Wings best players vs. SJ in the playoffs last year. A beast. |
