Just realized we don't have this on our new board.
Gets his first home start tomorrow, and it's also in front of a national audience on TSN.

Price wins the Molson 3 Stars Cup for November, leapfrogging past Tomas Plekanec after a 1st star performance last night. The 1st star was well deserving, but these 3 Star rankings rarely make sense to me. Price was far from the best Hab in October... Price may have just cracked the top 10 with last night's performance. Maybe.
Anyways, youngest Hab to win the honour ever. Previous youngest Hab was Theodore, who won it at 20 years old, 5 months (Price is 20 + 2 months). _________________ It's backwards time. |

HYPE!
Huge game vs. Boston, completely in control. Not any unbelievable saves, but again, completely in control of the situation. ESPECIALLY on the 1:57 long 5 on 3. _________________ It's backwards time. |

| He's been fantastic every time I've got to watch him - and he hasn't exactly been given soft opponents to boost his confidence, either. |

Clearly nothing but a bigger and bigger mistake for not taking the guy drafted after him... _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Huet may be the #1 vote getter for EC goalies, but he may not be the #1 goalie in Montreal by then.
Not that Huet is playing bad. This team is just winning more often when Price is in net right now. Huet gets no goal support and Price seems to get that response.
The next couple of weeks could really be telling for who the team will lean on in the 2nd half. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Got pulled from his first NHL game on Saturday. Which also happened to be the first NHL game his parents were in the audience for. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Good thing he's not up here with these games...
Price got pulled on the weekend in Hamilton, allowing 5 goals in 2 periods. Last night, he got shelled for a 7-2 loss to Peoria, allowing the 7 goals on only 31 shots. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Uh Oh, he wasn't sharp at all in his last 2 starts with the Habs. I hope everything is ok. _________________

It was good evaluation by the Habs to get him down there, methinks. He needs to play his way through this. It's his first bump in his otherwise remarkable upwards trajectory over the past year and a half.
Halak was struggling a bit to start the year in the AHL as well. He was just getting back to his dominant form of last year when they made the switch. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Yeah, he's too good of a goalie not to pull through this, and the only way to do so is to play. _________________

Price got a shutout this weekend, and it looks like he's coming back up. RDS is reporting that Halak has been assigned to the AHL. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Interesting note here from Rollie the Goalie:
| Quote: |
"If (general manager Bob Gainey) decides to call him back up, we have to give him some games," Melanson said on the weekend. "By the end of the season, he has to have 50 games under his belt."
Price is currently sitting at 29 games with 19 in Montreal and the rest in Hamilton, and that 50 may be an elusive number if Huet continues to be No. 1. |
That 50 games mark is EXACTLY the number I said he had to see at the beginning of the year on OTP v1.0... and it suggests that he's merely up here to play the Leafs and then go back to Hamilton. _________________ It's backwards time. |
