That's good. I didn't know if I should be worried about this happening or not. There seemed little reason to doubt, though.

Good junior scorer, but he projects as a supporting player professionally. Still, he could be one of the rare grinders that could actually score goals with some regularity if all pans out right.

Sounds like Helm.

Yeah, hopefully he works out. I don't expect him to jump into the NHL in his first year professionally, though, that's for sure.

Don't think we expected that from Helm too Laughing

On the flip side, hopefully for you guys it doesn't take him 10 years to do it like Dan Cleary Laughing

Physically he's ready, but I doubt he has the legs. He'll need time in Hamilton.

Down the middle is probably our weakest area depth wise, but there are more than enough options out there for us to get by. Obviously, we'd all love to have that Getzlaf-type dynamicism from someone, but it doesn't look too bad:

Plekanec, Koivu, Lapierre, Grabovski, Chipchura, Trotter, Maxwell, White... it can be improved, but it's stronger than it has been in the recent past. If Gainey takes any risks with his picks this year at the draft table I'd like to see it on a potential high impact centreman.

Patrice Cormier, C - Rimouski Oceanic

Nicolas Deschamps, C - Chicoutimi Sagueneens

Phillipe Cornet, C - Rimouski Oceanic

I wouldn't mind if we drafted one of these guys.
