Had heard he put his house on the market. And now that his agent is the Canucks' GM, he's gone to Don Baizley.
Translation courtesy a guy on HFBoards:

-------------------
NHL-star Markus Näslund is switching agent. Out with Mike Gillis - in with Don Baizley. The new agents first mission: Find a NHL-club with ambitions to win the Stanley Cup.
- I feel very motivated to continue playing in the NHL, he says.
An epoch is most likely over. Markus Näslund, 34, is leaving Vancouver Canucks after twelve seasons. But he's not moving home to Örnsköldsvik* and Modo. That he reveals today in an interview with Örnsköldsviks Allehanda (local newspaper).
He has sold the house in Vancouver and indirectly it's of course a sign that Näslund isn't continiuing in the Canucks this winter.
- We sold the house because I was unsure of the future. The door to Vancouver is not closed, but it's far from obvious that I'll end up there, he says to ÖA.
Näslund becomes a free agent 1st of July - and it's after that he'll have to concider new offers.
That's why he's now switched agent. Don Baizley, Peter Forsbergs assistant, is replacing Mike Gillis - who takes over as general manager in the Canucks - and Baizleys first assingment is now to find a suitable club for Näslund.
- Mike's been great for me, but now that he's working in the Canucks, I have to switch. I've known Baizley for many years and met him on several occasions.
Näslund dosen't want to speculate in what club he'll end up in.
- Money's not important, I priorotize the social part, what kind of hockey the team is playing and what player types they have, says Näslund to NA. Modo will have to wait for the "homecomer" - at least for an additional couple of years. |

| If we can't clear money for Hossa, I'd be willing to take a look at this guy for about 4 million per. In a trap system he still put up decent second line numbers. Put him on Savvy's wing and he could be pretty good... |

Ummm.. You realize that you are commenting in the Canucks forum and not the Bruins? I thought for a moment that you had finally admitted to being a Canucks fan but I thought better of it. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

This is a story about Naslund in the Canucks forum. Just as out of place, if you read the story |
