Thought for a second, wow, quite an accomplishment, and then I read that Gaborik was out. For all their young talent and free agent acquisitions, the Wild are still very beatable without Marian...doesn't help that Demitra is also injury-prone as hell and was also out for this game. You'da thunk it'd take an injury to Mikko friggin' Koivu for the Avs to win against Minny.
Not to sell the Avs short, Smyth and Svatos have now tied Sakic and Stastny for the team lead in goals, so far The Mulleted One is earning his keep. |
