| It'll be very interesting to see how serious the PA is about this...the league would be very foolish not to consider the proposal from Kelly and the PA. |

Umm, yes you did, asshole ... watch your own replay if you're confused
amazingly, I actually agree with something KPD wrote - Hartnell's hit on Alberts was worse than Jones' hit on Bergeron (in terms of intent, not outcome)
can't agree with this crap though:

From the suggestion box
Simple, bright idea of the week, how to fix the NHL, from your faithful hockey scribe (patent pending, of course): Except when taking a faceoff in its defensive end, no team shall be allowed to have all five skaters behind its blue line. In cases of a faceoff in the defensive end, one of the skaters must exit the zone no more than five seconds after play resumes. (Similar to the NBA's three-second rule.) |
ah, hanging out in neutral ice, while the puck is in your zone
that's what gets players benched in REAL hockey, KPD _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

| I don't agree - Jones had time to assess the situation and then just drilled Bergy from behind. Bear in mind how difficult it is to knock Bergeron off his feet - low center of gravity, incredibly strong core... Alberts was on his knees and completely vulnerable... Bergeron was braced and still got drilled... tells me Jones absolutely flattened him, from behind... I still say they should have ran him out of the league for that... |

If you watch the clip of the Jones hit, it was reckless, but it happened fast
Jones had less time to change his mind
In Hartnell's case, Alberts was on his knees before he even started towards him and he had plenty of time to assess the situation...and still decided to rap his head off the top of the boards _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |
