| 7-4 Avs mid way through the 3rd. Pretty high scoring affair. Anyone watching? |

I watched some of it but went out for dinner and missed a majority of the goals. 9-4 final. Andy Murray obviously still hates to lose to us, he called a time out mid-game to bitch his team out soundly.

And while he was hung out to dry by a shoddy defensive effort, Toivonen did a little to prove Chiarelli right last night. If Manny Legace were in net I'm positive the outcome of the game would have been far different. |

Gotta love how Murray pulled Toivonen, put in Schwarz, and then pulled Schwarz as the Blues got within a goal, and then Toivonen let in a couple more goals and got pulled again. _________________ It's backwards time. |

I wasn't aware that Keenan was coaching both the Flames and the Blues.

Hejduk had a stellar night, as did his linemates Ryan Smyth and Paul Stastny, a line a lot of people envisioned doing big things following the Smyth signing. Hejduk had a hat trick and three assists, Stastny two goals and three assists, and Smyth a goal and two assists. Wolski also netted two, aw hell, there were a lot of points all around.
Anyway, nice that the Avs still know how to dominate at home, I forgot to put a thread up noting they beat the Flyboys 2-1 on Friday. Still all the more frustrating to see them play like such garbage on the road though...it's obvious they're capable of being a very good, if not dominant team. With the mediocrity permeating the league as a whole there's no reason they can't figure out a way to string some wins at home and on the road and secure the top division spot. |
