Crying or Very sad

He called a lot of my first sporting memories, including the very notable Ben Johnson's 1988 100m race and the 1989 Grey Cup.

This cancer was very quick, and just before Christmas he disclosed his condition the Winnipeg Free Press and said he didn't think he had long.

Rest in Peace, Don.

Wow, no kidding that was quick. When I think of CFL broadcasters, he's the first voice that comes to mind. RIP...

Shocked Wow... Sad news. As iconic a voice for Canadian sports as Jim "The thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat," McKay. RIP, Don. Crying or Very sad

Holy shit, I had no idea...

Canuck fans will also remember him as the one who called the Game 7 victory over Calgary in 1994.

RIP, Don...
